I came up with another nice design using an interference fit and a tubular high-voltage feedthrough to connect the electrode. Another page full of math just to figure out the dimensions for the interference fit to work properly. Everything is coming together... The stock list on my proposal is nearing completion, but I still have a lot of work to do to present everything, though.

Subra, on the subject of his research paper, "How should it be bound?" - "With love."
"...electrochemical mitigation of outgassing." - actually, I don't know what I was saying, I had just invented the phrase.
Myself, contacting a Pro-Bolt representative, "I am guessing this is the strangest request you've ever heard, but... I need bolts with low 'magnetic permeability' and 'outgassing rates'."
Edit:
"Hi Ephedyn
Thank you for your email enquiry. We have all the bolts un-coloured and send them away for anodising, so I can send you un-anodised. Please feel free to send me a list of parts required and I can send you a quote.
Regards Dawn"
Epic win.
