I really liked madcow's recent review of 28 hubs at fairwheelbikes, and recommend it strongly. I know this is pretty simple to do since the review came with a spreadsheet, but since no one has - I decided to plot the price * weight from the data given. This gives a pretty good indication of what hubs give the best weight-for-money (not to be mistaken with value-for-money, though there are parallels here).

Also take note that some hubs like American Classic, Novatec, Shimano [insert] etc. aren't listed.
I also want to point out that price * weight isn't my favorite parameter. Reason being, money becomes more disposable as the more you are trying to achieve a record low weight. For instance, compare the two hubs
Hypothetical front - 19g - $!$555 - 10545g$!$
Extralite SX front - 49g - $!$215 - 10535g$!$
In theory, the Extralite SX front is the better buy. But seriously, do I have to start a poll on this? There will be a lot of people who will opt for 19g front hub for the extra $340. This is a reasonable choice provided the rest of your parts minimize the P*W parameter and the maximum allowable $\sum P$ across all parts is not exceeded. (Meaning, you have spare cash after factoring in all other parts.)
